Inquisitorial hench-gentlemen - inquisitor war band update

I created these likely lads over the last couple of days or so. Some bitz I got from Wace have made their way into the mix here, on the sniper-looking guy.

Much messing with blu-tak and swapping bitz around finally led me to these chaps:

Laugh at my gentlemen's pistols will you?

This guy still needs a bit of flash removal by the look of it.

Inquisitor Daubenton, the third iteration (an inquisitor warband update)

Following on from previous comments (much appreciated guidance from Frothing Muppet and Dai - cheers, fellers), I bring you the third and final (hopefully) incarnation of Inquisitor Ziegfried Daubenton.

Based on the comments I received, it was clear that he was missing a bit of something in terms of the grimdarkness that we all hold so dear. The pointing hand had to go. Luckily, I had a bit of a brainwave, and the requisite bitz in my box to bring what you see below to fruition. The replacement hand in particular fits well with the back story I have planned for him... more on that at a later point.

Inquisitor Daubenton & the Psyber Falcon keeper revisited

Following on from some earlier posts, I've revisited a couple of models and made some modifications, which you can see below.

Chiefly, this has involved straightening the falcon, which a couple of people rightly pointed out as "listing" slightly, and amending the pose and accessories on Inquisitor Daubenton himself.

The original version of Inquisitor Daubenton can be found here and the Psyber Falcon Keeper can be found here.

I'm hoping that these are now much improved...

Inquisitor war band update: Psyber falcon keeper

As part of my ongoing inquisitorial war band project, I've come up with this bearded fellow, whose role is to be custodian of the inquisitor's psyber falcon, as well as fulfiling a role as a general grunt.

He's based around a selection of Brettonian and Empire parts, plus an arm and other bits from the Tempestus Scions, amongst other 40k accessories.

Daemonhosts revisited: the Sacred and the Profane part 3

A while back, I posted up some work i'd done on a couple of Daemonhosts (please see links below):

I've recently revisited these models and made some modifications as I'd become confident that they weren't quite there yet.

For the first Daemonhost (carrying the basin of holy water), I was concerned he didn't look daemonic enough (beyond his huge stature), so I decided to try and add some spines and protuberances, taking a bit of inspiration from the classic metal models.

For the second Daemonhost (in the stocks), I felt like he didn't seem securely bound enough, so I added some loops of fine jewellery chain and a couple of small padlocks.

Here are the results:

Inquisitor war band update - mechanicum adept

I spent a while on this one, in 1/2 hour slots over a couple of weeks.

Pretty happy with the results, as it's one of the more ambitious conversions I've attempted. It also proved to be a very therapeutic process.

Here's some low quality snaps from my phone (note very messy desk top!):
