Seemingly, I couldn't resist the lure of splitting a box of Ambots with my mate Andy GI. These things look great.
At the time of building and painting, I'd already gotten my Cawdor gang finished. I thought it would be cool to give them some heavy support in the form of an Ambot.
I opted to go with a heavily corroded and weathered look for this machine, as I figured that a Cawdor gang wouldn't have the credits for one that was in better condition... and I thought a colour scheme such as this would sit really well in harmony with the dull browns of the gang itself...

Necromunda: House Cawdor gang
So in my absence from the blogosphere (well from miniature related blogging at least) I managed to complete a project. That project is my first Necromunda gang; a gang of House Cawdor.
I opted to dodge using the heads supplied with the kit for some reason and instead went for head swaps that utilise heads from the Empire Flagellants box (or whatever box it is now known as under the aegis of Age of Sigmar - I mean I could look it up, but that involves effort. In fact by the time I'd written this, I could've done it, but now I'm kind of committed to not doing it!!). I felt that these heads added an additional air of menace to models that I felt had a rather medieval goes black-powder aspect to them - much like the Empire range I guess - only with some nasty looking makeshift, unsafe, jury-rigged weapons and knock-off augmetics. I found also that some of the hooded heads from the Frostgrave Cultists also fit the bill quite well here...
It's about the first time I've felt like I've really nailed the look of what I imagine something to be like in my mind, but in model form... Anyway, here's the goods...

INQ28 - Ecclesiarchy Priest
All has been quiet on the blogging front recently, I'm afraid. I've just not been up to that much hobby-wise, apart from a trip to Nottingham to visit my good buddy Fulgrim, who was heavily involved in the play-testing and design of the recent Death Watch: Overkill game. So we obviously spent a chunk of time playing that. And drinking. And eating. And watching Star Wars. Good times, yo.
I did finish up this fellow, who will be a part of my Ordo Hereticus retinue, in the role of... priest / preacher / general ecclesiarchy God-Emperor bothering busy body. The model is from Black Scorpion's range of Cutlass models, and was part of a very bargainous set I picked up at Salute last year.
Here he is. Sweet beard, dude.

Inquisitor Ganesha Singh of the Ordo Hereticus
A goodly while back, you may remember that I posted up this model unpainted. For those that are interested, you can see it here.
Over the last couple of weeks I've been adding a bit of paint here and there on an almost daily basis, and this is what I've ended up with. Although the company producing the core miniature here is basically morally bankrupt and has seemingly ripped off a load of FWs Horus Heresy sculpts (I will name no company names here), this particular sculpt I felt was too good to pass up, and didn't seem to be a direct rip of any GW or FW stuff I was aware of, although the influence is clear. I also really like the wimple aspect of this model, which seems to communicate a high degree of piety when cross-referenced with the attire favoured by nuns in the Catholic church of recent centuries.
I decided to get rid of the small child that accompanies the original model, and replace her with a nice big wolf hound form the GW Orion King of The Woods kit. Obviously, I had to give him a bionic eye and a minor cybernetic enhancement to make him a bit more future-appropriate.
I decided that I would continue the theme of dark skin tones and white armour with golden / brassy trim I started with on the Adepta Sororitas Novitiates, of which I have also included a group shot.
Coming soon to bring puritanical justice to a dark corner of the Imperium near you...
