Good day to you all.
Wow. That was formal.
Not too much to say on this one, but a goodly while ago, I got hold of a Maggoth Lord second hand from Linguiformean (Lee). It kind of sat around partially on the sprue for a while, partially off.
I eventually, started taking a closer look at it and put it together apart from the rider, which is when i hit on the idea of seeing if the top half of one of those Kataprhon servitors would fit in the hole. Turn out with a minimal amount of sanding down, it will indeed fit. Quite well as it turns out.
Add in a few green stuff cables, and Bob, as they allegedly say, is your weird and pervy uncle.

Daemons of Nurgle - Soul Grinder version 3.0 (W.I.P)
What-ho interwebz friends. I have been busy making a third Soul Grinder of Nurgle in order to fill out the requirements of the Forge Host element of the Daemons formation from Curse of the Wulfen.
This is made from a Maggoth Lord (that I bought off Lee ages ago) and one of those Ad Mech Kataphron battle servitors. Plus some green stuff cabling.
I think if I ever get my sorry self around to doing a Dark Mechanicus project, this could also adequately serve as an Iron Strider or whatever they are called.
Regardless, it shall now sit waiting forever to be undercoated, and then a further 73 aeons before being painted.

Soul Grinder of Nurgle proxy / Glottkin type business
Recently I've been busy putting washes and glazes on this ugly brute. Lahmian Medium is my new jam.
I put him together a while back, and there he sat, on my desk, under-coated and sulky looking. In the pictures, I can see big joins that I'm not happy about, but hey-ho. I've subsequently become much better at the application of liquid green stuff, so I hope I won't have this type of thing to contend with in the future.
As it stands, I'm happy with the skin tones. Less than happy with the horns though.

Nurgle Soul Grinder finished
A while ago I posted some photos of this beast, which I'd based on the Araknarok kit.
Very basic conversion, which blocks up a few holes, adds a few green stuff cables and adds a few capering nurglings and an artillery piece in the mouth. This was basically a tester piece for learning how to use tentacle makers. I know I'm capable of better both in terms of the greenstuffing and the paint job, but I think it does the job.
I've better plans for another counts-as soul grinder of Nurgle which is based around a different kit...

No idea why this looks so green |
Or why this looks more grey than green |

Nurgle Soul Grinder
It seems that I am going to make a mono-Nurgle Daemons force. Against my better judgement, obviously...
The other week I headed up to Stockport for a friendly tournament being held by www.corehammer.com and it just so happened that while I was there, a bring and buy sale was going on. I managed to get an Orcs and Goblins Arachnarok kit from the Warhammer Fantasy range for cheap. Wasn't exactly sure at the time what I would use it for...
...then it came to me in a dream (or more likely whilst sat on the train or the bog) that I could make some approximation of a Soul Grinder with hopefully minimal effort.
So that's what I did. I just built the spider part of the kit, and added some green stuff pipes, which I made using a friend's tentacle tool (very useful - cheers Lee!!) and a couple of stray Nurglings. Beyond this, a spare imperial guard flamer went into the fanged maw of this monstrosity and that's all she wrote...
I will say, this kit produces one big-ass spider. Not a big ass-spider. That's disgusting.
