Following on from recent posts, I've done some further work on my Frostgrave war band.
This consists of minor modifications to my barbarian (adding a large shield slung across his back), as well as the construction of a couple more crossbowmen, a couple of swordsmen and a longbow-man.
The vast majority of the parts are again from various GW kits. The only exception here being the body of the longbow-man which is a Perry twins sculpt, and was a freebie at the latest Salute expo this year. The conversion here is a bit of an homage to old school GW sculpts from the '80s, which often featured an irreverent goblin or nurgling or other creature giving a middle finger to all and sundry, zero fux given. Obviously, the historically accurate insult the bowmen used to give to the French is helpful here (i.e. the French in the medieval period punished thieves by cutting their fingers off, I believe).

Frostgrave / Mordheim henchmen part 1
I've done a bit of initial modelling for my Frostgrave / Mordheim war band.
I've thus far produced a barbarian, a couple of crossbowmen, and a dude with sword and shield. The conversion work is relatively light here, mainly consisting of head swaps, although they weren't straightforward ones. Quite a bit of sanding and cutting was required, along with some filling. The parts are largely from the Empire State Troops and Crossbowmen boxes, along with some stuff from the Warriors of Chaos Warshrine and Forsaken kits, as well as the Beasts of Chaos Ungor kit.
I also produced an objective or treasure marker.
For those that missed it, I also posted up my sorcerer and apprentice the other week.
Not too much more to say than that at this point!

Inquisitorial hench-gentlemen - inquisitor war band update
I created these likely lads over the last couple of days or so. Some bitz I got from Wace have made their way into the mix here, on the sniper-looking guy.
Much messing with blu-tak and swapping bitz around finally led me to these chaps:
Laugh at my gentlemen's pistols will you? |
This guy still needs a bit of flash removal by the look of it. |
