Inquisitor war band update: Heavy servitor #2 & progress so far.

Despite being a bit busy recently, I have managed to complete work on this second servitor.

Overall I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out, but looking at the pictures, I think there are a couple of places that could be improved... namely the eyes, which seem a bit indistinct and the bandages on the left leg, which need dulling down a bit.

I also thought I'd take the opportunity drop in a couple of pics of the overall progress on the crew so far.

  2. The textures on the servitors are wonderful. What are you using for the rust?

    1. For all the metallic areas I put down a thin lawyer of that Typhus Corrosion and then gave various light dry brushes when that was dry with different metallic paints, depending on what colour I wanted. The crustier looking bits were done using pigment powders mixed with equal parts matt varnish and lahmian medium. I think I've said before that I regretted not trying out powders sooner. Total doddle to use and produces great effects with almost zero effort. Thanks for the compliment, Jodie, by the way!

  3. Very good result, excellent use of the Blightkings.

You are right about the bandage, though, that really doesn't look quite right just yet.

    1. Thanks Jimmy. I've given a couple of washes ton the bandage now and it's a good deal less gloating now!

    1. Hey Jugger. This head is one of the best ones GW produces. So simple but so damn expressive!

    1. It seems that red is the spot colour for this bunch. Not exactly through design - it kinda happened this way, so I'm gonna roll with it!
